If you don't have your own images or videos for use as a virtual background, you can create custom backgrounds with AI, go without a virtual background, or blur the background instead. You can also use a virtual background in a Zoom Room.
The Virtual Backgrounds app for Zoom enables you to select your favorite virtual background from over 2 million high-resolution images. These are curated by the world’s best community of photographers from Unsplash.
Admins can enable or disable the Virtual background feature at the account or group level in the Zoom web portal. Admins can also control AI-generated virtual backgrounds, which allows users to customize their virtual background with prompts to create an AI-generated background image.
The Virtual Background feature allows you to display an image or video as your background during a meeting in a Zoom Room. This feature requires a green screen to allow Zoom to detect the difference between you and your background.
Meeting hosts can customize the wallpaper in their meeting, adding more color and customization to their meeting. The host or co-host can choose from preset images provided by Zoom or those provided by their account admins.
Date and time with background image: To change the background image, hover over the picture and click the camera icon. Upcoming meeting: Displays the next meeting for the current day.
Add fun elements to your video meetings by uploading custom video filters to display your company's pride or branding. With the custom filters feature, account owners and admins can upload custom frame or foreground stickers for users on their account to use.
Zoom recommends an image in 1920x1080 resolution, but images must be in 16:9 ratio. Using a wallpaper and screen sharing during the webinar can increase the size of cloud recordings.
During a meeting, you can play background music on Zoom without sharing your screen. You can also play any sound your computer makes, which means if you play a local or online music track on your computer, that track will be played in your meeting as well.
Choose between the AI Companion image, Zoom Workplace image, or upload your own image. Supported image types include GIF, JPG, and PNG formats, and cannot exceed 1 MB.
