Hughes Fire initially started 10:53 a.m. Jan. 22 in Los Angeles County. It has burned 10,425 acres after being active for five days. By Monday midnight, the fire crew succeeded in containing 95% of the wildfire. The cause is, however, still being investigated.

The Eaton and Palisades fires have consumed more than 37,000 acres of homes, businesses and landmarks in Altadena and Pacific Palisades.

A new wildfire was reported today at 1:52 a.m. in Los Angeles County. The wildfire has been burning on private land. There is no update on the containment progress of the fire and its cause has not yet been determined.
