Ironically, Pitbull is set to perform a pre-race concert at none other than the Daytona 500 this Sunday, so he’s certainly not retreating quietly into the night. Instead, he made the announcement Friday via his social media, in what could be considered a mic drop moment.

Pitbull has ended his four-year NASCAR ownership in Trackhouse Racing, announcing his departure days before the season-opening Daytona 500. The entertainer had become an ownership partner in January 2021 for the team as it made its NASCAR debut that year.

Pitbull will still be in attendance at the Daytona 500 on Sunday as he’s the pre-race concert. Pitbull was scheduled to perform before the 2024 race, but it was delayed a day due to rain. The concert was then pushed back to 2025.
