LONDON (AP) — LONDON (AP) — BP PLC (BP) on Tuesday reported a fourth-quarter loss of $1.96 billion, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier. On a per-share basis, the London-based company said it had a loss of 74 cents. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, were 44 cents per share.

BP is likely to reduce spending on low-emissions energy technologies like wind and hydrogen and try to boost oil and natural gas production, analysts say.
