Former India skipper Virat Kohli has made his much-anticipated return to the Ranji Trophy, playing for Delhi against Railways from January 30 onwards in the 2024-25 season, at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.

Kohli last played a Ranji Trophy match in 2012 and made his debut in November 2006. Meanwhile, he has played 23 matches so far, scoring 1,547 runs and smashing five centuries. According to a report by The Indian Express report, Kohli's fitness was deemed better than that of the entire Delhi team.

During practice, a heartwarming moment unfolded when a young boy named Kabir son of one of Kohli's former age-group teammates interacted with the star cricketer. A video of their conversation has since gone viral on social media.
