A US Air Force pilot safely escaped after an F-35 fighter jet crashed during a training mission at Eielson Air Force Base in Alaska on Tuesday, officials said.

An Air Force F-35 fighter jet crashed at a base in Alaska, but the pilot was able to parachute to safety, all of it caught on video. It's the latest incident involving the F-35. A former fighter pilot says she has no safety concerns about the F-35 program.
