A Georgia lottery player was a number shy of the $20 million Powerball jackpot but still netted a big prize. The player tried their luck in the Jan. 20 drawing and won $50,000 on a single ticket sold at a Publix supermarket in Atlanta, the Georgia Lottery said in an email.

A winning Fantasy 5 ticket was sold at an Atlanta-area gas station, according to the Georgia Lottery. The lucky player matched all five numbers in the drawing Sunday, Jan. 12, to win the top prize of $444,446, lottery officials said.
