Taylor Wiseman won gold medals in both the discus and shot put at the Texas UIL State Track and Field Championships. The Oregon signee dominated the shot put with a winning throw of 47-2.

Iowa City West junior Colin Whitters won the shot-put state title in Class 4A at the Iowa high school state track meet on May 23.
