With less than two weeks until the season begins, ESPN and USA Softball recently unveiled their preseason Top 25 rankings. Patrick Murphy’s Crimson Tide was ranked No. 11, one spot behind No. 10 Texas Tech and one spot ahead of No. 12 Florida State.

Alabama softball heads into the 2025 season ranked as the No. 11 team in the country per the ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Preseason Top 25 Poll that was released Tuesday.

On Tuesday, the preseason rankings were unveiled through the ESPN.com/ USA Softball Collegiate Preseason Top 25 Poll. The Crimson Tide secured the No.11 position after concluding the 2024 season with a 39-20 record.

The Texas A&M softball team is ranked eighth in the National Fastpitch Coaches Association preseason top 25 poll, which is the program’s highest ranking since being sixth in 2018.

After a runner-up finish in the 2024 Women's College World Series, Texas softball is No. 1 entering the 2025 season in the ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 Poll.
