Joe Biden canceled his final overseas trip as U.S. President to oversee the response to the ongoing wildfires in California.

A fast-moving fire in the Hollywood Hills broke out Wednesday night as more evacuations were ordered for Los Angeles residents and fire crews battled three other major blazes that killed at least five people.

The Pasadena Jewish Temple and Center burned down in the Eaton fire. But on a remaining wall, Mmembers discovered a hidden treasure.

The Autry Museum of the American West reopened Jan. 16, with a special offer: Admission will be free through Martin Luther King Jr. Day, which is Jan. 20. "The Autry thrives on its community and our hearts go out to all affected," the museum said in a statement.

The museum, which temporarily closed in response to the fire, is located just under five miles from where the Eaton Fire first began to spread. To thank the community for its support during the crisis, admission will be free from Jan. 16-20, 2025. Activities for children have been added to the schedule, and new offerings for adults, too.

Roberto Marquez came from Dallas to paint a mural and put up crosses in hopes of helping the Southern California community heal from the Palisades and Eaton fires.

Marking and honoring what has been lost in the fires will help rebuild L.A.'s soft infrastructure, the network of social ties holding communities together.
