Hours before the results, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) called a meeting of all its 70 candidates on Friday, according to reports. The meeting will be chaired by AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal.

Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva rejected the allegations, calling them a sign of the AAP's “frustration” over an impending electoral defeat.

Kejriwal alleged that 16 AAP candidates were offered ₹15 crore each to join the BJP. "In the last two hours, 16 of our candidates have received calls that if they leave AAP and join their party, they will make them ministers and will give ₹15 crores to each of them," he said.

AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal said 16 party candidates received calls from the BJP asking to switch sides and promising ministerial berths and Rs 15 crore.

As per three major agencies’ exit polls, the BJP is projected to secure a clear majority in the Delhi elections. Out of 14 exit polls conducted so far, 11 predict a BJP victory, while two favor AAP, and one indicates a close contest.

Arvind Kejriwal's Aam Aadmi Party in Delhi could find itself floundering in the absence of a convincing mandate, leaving it the most vulnerable in the 12 years since its formation.

With most exit polls predicting that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will win Delhi assembly elections, BJP leaders expressed confidence of the party's triumph after counting of votes on February 8.

BJP MP Yogendra Chandoliya said on Wednesday that the exit polls indicate the BJP has "defeated" Arvind Kejriwal and his "corrupt government." Polling to elect the 70-member assembly of Delhi concluded on Wednesday evening with a voter turnout of 60.
