Remember that any background app that draws overlays or otherwise directly ties to DirectX has to be fully DX12 compatible or it will prevent Time Spy (and any other DX12 application using exclusive full screen mode) from working.

Jul 15, 2016 · The GPU is a stock clocked 390...my CPU is an OC'd i5 2500k, but again just to be clear, it has been tested for stability and runs every game I throw at it without issue for hours as well as BOINC for days at a time at 100% GPU and CPU load. My motherboard BIOS as well as all other updates are current.

Jul 14, 2016 · I had the exact same issue with Time Spy not running, and I just got it to work--all I had to do was turn off G-SYNC via the nVidia Control Panel. Seemingly, turning off G-SYNC changed the "Monitor Technology" setting in "Global Settings" (under "Manage 3D Settings") to "Fixed Refresh" and "Vertical Sync" to "Use the 3D Application Setting."

Jan 16, 2017 · When Time Spy launched, the price of 3DMark was increased from 24.99 to 29.99 and Time Spy advanced features were added in. If you bought 3DMark before this price rise, you do not automatically have those settings available for Time Spy - for that you need to purchase the upgrade DLC for it.
